Toshiba started its Wednesday with news of a much higher-capacity 16GB microSDHC card as well as faster full-size SDHC cards. The former doubles Toshiba’s previous best and gives cellphones and some newer still cameras a large amount of storage for music and photos. The card is relatively slow with a minimum Class 2 (2MB per second) transfer speed in exchange for the capacity. Toshiba starts mass-producing the cards in January and should deliver them shortly afterwards. (more…)

Honda Motor on Friday announced it will begin real-world testing of its second experimental walking assist device designed to reduce the strain on a user’s leg muscles and joints such as hips, knees and ankles. The device will supporting a portion of user’s body weight whether they’re crouching, walking or climbing stairs and is meant to help both those physically weakened with age or injury as well as workers who would need to reduce the stress on their bodies from heavy work or unusual positions. One of my favorite plugins is Alex King’s Popularity Contest. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work with the latest WordPress release 2.5, nor Wordpress 2.6

A Microsoft spokesperson recently talked about the introduction of Google’s Chrome browser, and apparently it has them at least somewhat concerned. Microsoft’s Scott Hanselman said that Silverlight could face a serious threat from Chrome (and Firefox), if Google and Mozilla continue to improve the execution speed and efficiency of JavaScript. According to him, a “100 to 1,000 fold” increase in JavaScript speed could be expected from the two rival browsers, which would turn it a better choice for numerous web-based applications.

Seekor semut dengan terengah-engah mendatangi komunitasnya.
“Baru saja aku menempuh perjalanan ratusan kilometer”, teriaknya dengan penuh kebanggaan.
Beberapa ekor semut yang lain memandang sinis dan tak percaya terhadap omongan semut yang baru saja datang. Beberapa ekor semut yang lain lebih asyik bermain dibandingkan mendengarkan karena berfikir itu hanyalah bualan seekor semut yang sedang mencari jati dirinya.
“Pasti kalian tidak percaya ? Yang lebih hebat lagi aku menempuh ratusan kilometer hanya dengan waktu kurang dari satu jam”, Sang semut berkata dengan menyunggingkan sebuah senyum kepastian.
